Finian is an Entrepreneur and business owner for O'Shea's Delivery Service in Southern California. He has a passion to make sure the foundation follows a path true to his brothers vision of serving at-risk youth with mindful practices that will empower these kids to build confidence and allow them to see their own potential. Finian has been a leader since his teen years and brings his governing experience to the Sean O’Shea Foundation.
STEVE ESCOVAR - ADVISOR TO THE BOD, FINANCES
Steve Escovar, a partner with Turner, Laub & Escovar, Certified Public Accountants, earned his Masters Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and his Bachelors Degree from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona. He specializes in business and tax consulting, working primarily with professionals and family owned businesses while dealing in taxation for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trusts, estates and tax exempt entities. He is active in the California Society of CPA’s, serves on the Board of Directors of Fred R. Rippy Inc., serves on the Consultative Advisory Counsel of Bishop Amat High School, sits on the Bishop Amat High School Endowment Board, and serves on the Finance Counsel of St. John Vianney Church. Previous leadership involvements include the YMCA, Boy Scouts, and youth sports leagues.
LIZ FAUTSCH – ADVISOR TO THE BOD, CHAIRMAN OF YOUTH PROGRAMS
Liz Fautsch has been teaching yoga in Encinitas for 12 years. Her yoga background includes training in yoga anatomy and the physiology of movement with Roger Cole, Leslie Kaminoff and Rachel Krentzman, and in therapeutic yoga with Viniyoga Founder Gary Kraftsow and yoga therapist Bo Forbes. She has studied restorative yoga with Roger Cole and Judith Hanson Lasater and teaches a weekly restorative yoga class at the Magdalena Ecke YMCA in Encinitas. She has been working with the Sean O’Shea Foundation since 2008, with a focus on at-risk teens and pediatric patients with cancer. She has completed trainings through the Niroga Institute with Dr. B.K. Bose, a pioneer in bringing yoga to at-risk populations. She believes that through our yoga practice, we can learn to live with great joy and courage.
Stephanie Glassen, Nutrition Coordinator and board member of Sean O'Shea Foundation is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutrition Consultant through the Natural Healing Institute, and Registered Yoga Teacher. Through Yoga and Nutrition her intention is to bring light and wellness to those around her.
NANCY HOPSTEIN - ADVISOR TO THE BOD, FAMILY COUNSELING & LA REPRESENTATIVE
LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST Nancy volunteered at her local church as a lay Christian counselor for 5 years before deciding to go back to college and earn her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before joining Turning Point Counseling, Nancy completed her clinical training at the Christian Counseling Center International in Riverside where she worked with a diverse clientele covering a variety of issues. Nancy is the aunt to the late Sean O’Shea and the represents SOSF in the Los Angeles school areas. KRISTINE ACKERMAN SPERLING - ADVISOR TO THE BOD, BYLAWS, COMMITTEE POLICY Kristine is an efficient, effective, fun, and compassionate person bringing together her professional and personal experiences to build her dream company and live her personal callings to create a better world. In 2013, Kristine launched Makes 3®, Bodycare for the Whole Family, a personal care products company dedicated to helping people create an organic life filled with happiness and wellbeing for the body, mind and spirit. Makes 3® naturally grew out of Kristine’s family’s journey from unconscious living and serious health concerns to an integrated and organic lifestyle that is built around intentional and balanced choices made to nurture their lives. In Kristine’s first career she was a corporate and finance attorney at two international law firms, Mayer Brown LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP. Kristine graduated law school in 1998 at the University of Wisconsin School of Law. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in 1992 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
